Scoops of Whimsy was started to spread joy and delight through stationery-themed mystery boxes filled with hand-picked gifts. Each scoop is unique and unpredictable, adding excitement to every unboxing experience. Gachas are a fun surprise add-on and can be added at a ratio of one per scoop (up to 3 per order)
Every box is thoughtfully packed with care and tailored to your order specifications. We also include surprise extras like free gifts and limited-edition gacha goodies to keep the magic going!
How it works
A scoop of mystery beads is drawn from our collection, and each bead corresponds to a surprise item. These items are placed into a mystery box and delivered nationwide across South Africa. We also offer gacha surprise balls as optional add-ons, which you can purchase to unlock rare, limited-edition, and extra whimsical gifts. These gacha balls work like lucky draws — the more you add, the more surprises you unlock! Each box also includes bonus items as a thank-you surprise!

How are mystery beads and gacha balls chosen?
Mystery scoop items are randomly drawn per tier. Gacha surprise balls are a paid add-on lucky draw that may unlock rare or limited-edition items. Each week, selected gacha add-on orders may be featured on our TikTok or social channels.
Are the items in my box guaranteed?
You will always receive the number of items promised in your selected scoop tier — that part is guaranteed.
However, the specific items inside remain a surprise and cannot be chosen in advance, as this is part of the fun and magic of the Scoops experience. Each box is curated from our themed categories (stationery, cosmetics, and general gifts), all blended into one delightful unboxing adventure.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure online payments through PayFast, including card payments, instant EFT, and supported digital wallets.
How is my Scoops of Whimsy box delivered?
We use Courier Guy for all mystery box deliveries across South Africa. At checkout, you can choose between two convenient options:
- Store-to-locker delivery via a Pudo locker, or
- Door-to-door delivery straight to your address
Once your parcel is dispatched, you’ll also receive a tracking link, so you can follow your Scoops adventure every step of the way!
Can I track my parcel?
Yes! All orders are shipped with Courier Guy tracking. Once your parcel is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link via email or WhatsApp.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Delivery times:
Non-video orders are expected to be shipped in 3-5 working days, video orders are expected to be shipped within 5-6 working days.
*We do not sell videos. 4-6 orders will be randomly selected every week for video release on social media.*
Can I personalise my mystery box?
Yes, you can! While the items are part of a mystery experience, we welcome personal touches.
If you’d like specific colour preferences or want us to avoid certain items, simply leave a note at checkout — we’ll happily do our best to accommodate it.
Our boxes are primarily curated for adults, but if you let us know the age of a child in your order notes, we’ll gladly tailor the selection to be age-appropriate and delightful for them too.
Please note: Because this is a mystery box, full customisation of specific items cannot be guaranteed, but preferences always help us craft your best scoop experience!
Can I return mystery items?
Because each box is a curated mystery experience, items cannot be returned unless they are damaged or faulty. If your box arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos.
